Choose shirt or outer layer

Decide whether you want a close-fitting shirt or room for layering. Ask for garment measurements and compare them with a shirt you already wear. Short-sleeve and long-sleeve listings serve different uses.

Read the fabric information

Confirm material and label details. Olive color alone does not make a garment surplus. Keep the seller’s issue or vintage claims separate from details you can see in photographs.

Look for alterations

Inspect sleeve ends, seams, hems and removed insignia marks. Ask whether labels are intact. Repairs may suit everyday wear, while a collector may want a different kind of example.
