Pick a pattern deliberately

DPM and MTP are useful search terms, but the pattern name does not establish military issue or a particular date. Read the listing’s description of the garment and compare label photographs if originality affects your choice.

Compare the garment, not just the label

Request chest, sleeve and body measurements. Ask how the seller measured them and whether the garment has been altered. Plan for the layers you intend to wear beneath the smock.

Look at the working details

Inspect hood, cuffs, pockets, zipper and drawcords. Confirm whether a hood is present if that matters to you. Check the return policy and shipping cost before buying a size you have not tried.
